Lumsden and Partners advised on the sale of Merz Industrietechnik GmbH to the US group Wabtec

Merz Industrietechnik GmbH, a leading innovative Austrian company specializing in sales and maintenance in the field of rail vehicles, machinery and equipment with electrical, electronic and mechanical systems and components, was sold to the US-American major major corporation Wabtec (8 billion sales, 27,000 employees). Wabtec Corporation is the world's largest rail vehicle manufacturer following the recently merged with the rail vehicle division of General Electric, Wabtec Corporation is one of the most important companies in the USA in this sector.
